Have you ever noticed that you go to one site on line and suddenly you get tons of calls and emails offering just about anything and everything to you?

I found out the hard way by doing the simple thing of looking for a short term loan on line. I had within an hour 27 emails from companies that I didn’t know and about 10 calls to my cell and 5 to my home wanting  to give me a loan. When the people are asked what I had to do to get the funds they would want me to put the funds in my account and then withdraw it and send it to them via Western Union or MoneyGram. Not happening!

I tell the person that I am not willing to do that and what they are doing is called a crime they usually hang up real fast.

There are several sites that will track these types of calls and you can find them by doing a google search on the number. There are the people who will claim to be from the IRS and if they are really from the federal government then they will show on the caller id box as ‘US GOVERNMENT’ and when you ask questions such as a call back number they have one that is real along with an extension and you can verify that way.

Not all people are out to scam you but there is enough to be worried about. When not sure what to do then don’t give out your personal information. Trust me if we get enough people telling these people ‘NO’ then they will stop.

If they send stuff to you through the mail and it is a check – call the bank that it is drawn off of and find out if it is real. If it is fake then call the post office due to that is a federal fraud due to the post office is being used.

Real vs Supernatural:

Have you ever found yourself wondering if what you are hearing is real or in your head? What about the shadow in the corner of your eye? The sound in the other room? How can you tell the difference?

For most of human kinds existence there has been a belief in the supernatural. Some have been called prophets. Some were called oracles. Others were called witches, but they all had one thing in common, they were said to be able to connect to the other side.

Now when you turn on the TV there are shows that are looking for ghost, claiming to be able to see beyond, taking people on tours of places that are haunted but why are they so popular. I have watched and listened to some of them and it is the same thing, people making claims and then a person says they can fix all of it.

There are some that might be real but when there are people that live not far from you and you know the location that they are going to, you can tell what is true and what is not.

I have believed that the supernatural is real. There are too many things that can’t be explained. When people say that ghost aren’t real, I ask them the question of why? How can you tell me that they aren’t? The fact that people can’t see something doesn’t mean that it isn’t there. If a person says that moving something with thought isn’t real, again how do you know? Is it because you can’t measure it?

There are more too life that you can measure, weigh or see.  If you ask a blind person what they hear, they may tell you things that you don’t hear. They use their senses differently than you do. So why do people think that things have to be able to measured, imaged, weighted and organized to be real.

The fact is that there is more to life than just things that can measured. Some people feel that there are layers of history. In one layer the dinosaurs still live, another WWII ended differently, these are all said to be going on around us, just a tiny bit out of sync with us.

Music: Does it tell a story

Do you ever wonder if music tells a story? What would it tell? How has it changed over the years? I have been around long enough to have heard many different types of music and it has always made me wonder about the way songs are effective in telling the story that someone wants to get across.

When I was young, my parents thought that groups that were like ABBA were great. My older brother and I were into the AC/DC. My parents said that it was noise and made no sense at all. I remember the fact that my dad loved country music and trust me when Walkman Portable music players came out it was a life saver.

My older brother and I would listen to anything that could drive my parents angry but at the same time you could understand what the singer was saying. We had the vinyl records of AC/DC High Voltage, Van Halen 1984, Black Sabbath Paranoid and others that would drive my parents wacko.

I was raised in a Hispanic/Caucasian family and things were ‘interesting’.  The music that I listened to was always the rock based. I grew up enjoying Ozzy Osborne, Queensryche, Iron Maiden, AC/DC and others like it. I remember bringing home a CD of music and my parents were what is that? The looked at the cover and my mother honestly thought the image from the cover which was Poison’s Look What The Cat Dragged In, and she thought they were women! (Sorry but I died of laughter).

While some of the music of the 80’s I still enjoy, I still love the old school Rock. If I wanted to listen to a person yell and scream I would go to the local mall. That isn’t music to me. If I want to listen to something that is fun, it will be something like Aerosmith, AC/DC, or Ozzy.

People are going to think that it is strange but have you ever looked up the words to the music that they sing. There are bands like Aerosmith that have some of the funniest songs. Songs like ‘Dude looks like a Lady’ are fun to listen to.

“Dude (Looks Like A Lady)”

[Chorus:]
That, that dude looks like a lady
That, that dude looks like a lady
That, that dude looks like a lady
That, that dude looks like a ladyCruise into a bar on the shore
Her picture graced the grime on the door
She’s a long lost love at first bite
Baby maybe you’re wrong but you know it’s all right
That’s right

That, that
That, that

Backstage we’re havin’ the time
Of our lives until somebody say
Forgive me if I seem out of line
Then she whipped out her gun and tried to blow me away!

[Chorus]

Never judge a book by it’s cover
Or who you gonna love by your lover
Sayin’ love put me wise to her love in disguise
She had the body of a Venus, Lord imagine my surprise.

[Chorus]

So baby let me follow you down (let me take a peek dear)
Baby let me follow you down (do me, do me, do me all night)
Baby let me follow you down (turn the other cheek dear)
Baby let me follow you down (do me, do me, do me, do me)

Ooh, what a funky lady
Ooh, she like it, like it, like it, like that.
Ooh, he was a lady!

[Chorus 2x]

Dude, dude, dude, dude looks like a lady
Dude, dude, dude, dude looks like a lady
Dude, dude, dude, dude looks like a lady
Dude, dude, dude, dude looks like a lady (http://www.azlyrics.com/lyrics/aerosmith/dudelookslikealady.html)

So with the kids now listening to the type of music that they do makes me wonder why people are saying it is the parents fault when they go out of control. I was trying to find an example of the difference and it worries me about the music that they listen to.
I know that during the time of the shooting in Columbine people were blaming Marilyn Manson due to the fact that he stands out. I remember a quote of his from the movie ‘Bowling for Columbine’ and this is what he said.
Michael Moore: If you were to talk directly to the kids at Columbine or the people in that community, what would you say to them if they were here right now?Marilyn Manson: I wouldn’t say a single word to them I would listen to what they have to say, and that’s what no one did.

And he also mentioned this:

Marilyn Manson: The two by-products of that whole tragedy were, violence in entertainment, and gun control. And how perfect that that was the two things that we were going to talk about with the upcoming election. And also, then we forgot about Monica Lewinsky and we forgot about, uh, the President was shooting bombs overseas, yet I’m a bad guy because I, well I sing some rock-and-roll songs, and who’s a bigger influence, the President or Marilyn Manson? I’d like to think me, but I’m going to go with the President.

Michael Moore: Do you know that on the day of the Columbine massacre, the US dropped more bombs on Kosovo than any other day?

Marilyn Manson: I do know that, and I think that’s really ironic, that nobody said ‘well maybe the President had an influence on this violent behavior’ Because that’s not the way the media wants to take it and spin it, and turn it into fear, because then you’re watching television, you’re watching the news, you’re being pumped full of fear, there’s floods, there’s AIDS, there’s murder, cut to commercial, buy the Acura, buy the Colgate, if you have bad breath they’re not going to talk to you, if you have pimples, the girl’s not going to fuck you, and it’s just this campaign of fear, and consumption, and that’s what I think it’s all based on, the whole idea of ‘keep everyone afraid, and they’ll consume.’

So before people blame music for the worlds problems,, maybe they should look at what is really going on.

Freedom…

What is the most basic of freedom that we have? The ability to speak. The Freedom of speech is one of the most vital that we have and I often worry about the people that feel that some don’t have the right to speak their feelings. I have always felt that talking or writing is the best way to put down things that a person is feeling.

I was watching a show on the freedom of speech and how people have had it used against them. If a person has a strong feeling about something then they should be able to talk about it. It doesn’t matter if it is about religion, politics, or other things. They should be able to talk about it but they should be in a calm manner.

There are people who feel that people of a different skin color means they are less important than they are. There are those who feel that a person’s religion makes them less of a person than they really are. The point is that these people are looking the outside and not on the inside. These people need to understand that most people only have a few gene differences than those that they are going against.

The American way of life is one that needs to be totally understood. Saying that you are an American is fine, but are you willing to die for her? Are you willing to protect this country? What if the people that you had to protect her from was the government itself? What if you found out that the government had killed people in the 1920’s? Would you still want to be with that group if you knew that they were going out and trying to cause problems for those that are willing to give all?

I am going to give you a few examples and you tell me what you would do. In the 1920’s the government had said that you couldn’t sell alcohol to drink but if it was being used in industry then there had to be several chemicals to prevent people from drinking it. One of those chemicals that the US Government used was wood alcohol — WOOD ALCOHOL IS DEADLY!!! The governments reason was that people were stealing the industrial alcohol and the underground had better chemist who could remove the chemicals that made it undrinkable. Wood Alcohol burns at the same temp as the regular alcohol so they wouldn’t be able to get it out.

When was this found out? Medical people in New York City found that they were seeing more and more people who were dying from alcohol poisoning. They tested it and found the reason why. This was during the time of ‘Prohibition.’

Would you support the US Government still?

What about this one – when Pearl Harbor was attacked on 7 December 1941, the US found itself at war. Those that were of Japanese American nationality were put in camps. Why? These people had been in the country for most of their lives. Some spoke Japanese but most spoke English.  They had son’s and daughters in the military. Yet they were forced into camps due to their nationality. The government felt that they were possibly spies for the Japanese.

The fact is that the people were forced to move. They were told that they were going into be at the camps for a short time. Some didn’t  get out until the war was well over.

If you were of Japanese American decent, would you trust the US Government?

Here is one that is a little more recent – When 9/11 happened, Americans were told that it was terrorist that had done it. I will agree that the people who hijacked the planes and killed so many were terrorist, but the question is why are the people that are of the Muslim religion being told that all Muslims were terrorist.

While there are people who are ‘Extremist’ and follow the Muslim religion the fact is that there more that are not. The fact is that members of the ‘Bin Laden’ family in the country that were flown out by the US GOVERNMENT!!!

Wait a minute — these are people who are related to the person who just did one of the most horrendous things on the country and THE US GOVERNMENT FLEW THEM OUT!!!! I am sorry the way that the police training that I went through with the Military was you ask questions before you let them go. Get information to protect the country first, then worry about the people who are here on student visa’s.

I honestly wish I knew where the government feels it gets the rights to do this. Then I remembered a song that wasn’t done so long ago by Geoff Tate (The former lead vocalist of Queensrÿche). It is titled ‘Dark Money’.  ( http://geofftate.com/ )

It’s getting stronger
Can’t wait any longer
They woke the beast from sleeping
Now how the quicksand deepens
Better get up, get off your knees!

Open eyes will see
See it?

Throw down the gauntlet
Let go of the tourniquet
We’ve seen the bleeding deceivers
And the hemorrhaging believers

Take the money, take your soul
It’s time for heads to roll!
Oh, I can feel it, feel it!

They’ve stepped over the line
One too many times now…
They’re gonna feel it
They’re gonna feel it

In spray paint verses
It’s written everywhere
The rich will lie and say they care
As the middle class pays the lion’s share

Follow the money
Watch where it goes

It’s what you’ve always known

Can you see it?
Can you see it?

They’ve stepped over the line
For the last time now…
They’re gonna feel it

Dark money runs the president
Dark money fuels the government
Dark money is the way it’s done
The rich will lie and say they care
As the middle class pays the lion’s share

Follow the money
Watch where it goes

It’s what you’ve always known

Can you see it?
Can you see it?

They’ve stepped over the line

Dark money will determine who has won
Dark money — everywhere you turn
Dark money has no concern
Dark money — and we wonder where it ends
It never ends
It never ends
It never ends
It never ends

We’re Wi-Fi connected
And those elected
Must follow demands of what the masses say
