There is a song that I know and it seems that we need to get people’s attention to what is happening or we may have a serious problem coming soon. The song is done by Queensryche and it is called Revolution Calling. It is off the Operation: Mindcrime album. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CNdOsL4Xe7Q ) The words are from the 1980’s but the meaning is as true as ever.

The words are:
For a price I’d do about anything
Except pull the trigger
For that I’d need a pretty good cause
Then I heard of Dr. X
The man with the cure
Just watch the television
Yeah, you’ll see there’s something going on

Got no love for politicians
Or that crazy scene in D.C.
It’s just a power mad town
But the time is ripe for changes
There’s a growing feeling
That taking a chance on a new kind of vision is due

I used to trust the media
To tell me the truth, tell us the truth
But now I’ve seen the payoffs
Everywhere I look
Who do you trust when everyone’s a crook?

Revolution calling
Revolution calling
Revolution calling you
There’s a revolution calling
Revolution calling
Gotta make a change
Gotta push, gotta push it on through

Well, I’m tired of all this bullshit
They keep selling me on T.V.
About the communist plan
And all the shady preachers
Begging for my cash
Swiss bank accounts while giving their secretaries the slam

They’re all in Penthouse now
Or Playboy magazine, million dollar stories to tell
I guess Warhol wasn’t wrong
Fame fifteen minutes long
Everyone’s using everybody, making the sale

I used to think
That only America’s way, way was right
But now the holy dollar rules everybody’s lives
Gotta make a million, doesn’t matter who dies

Revolution calling
Revolution calling
Revolution calling you
There’s a revolution calling
Revolution calling
Gotta make a change
Gotta push, gotta push it on through

I used to trust the media
To tell me the truth, tell us the truth
But now I’ve seen the payoffs
Everywhere I look
Who do you trust when everyone’s a crook?

Revolution calling
Revolution calling
Revolution calling you
There’s a revolution calling
Revolution calling
Gotta make a change
Gotta push, gotta push it on through

Revolution calling
Revolution calling
Revolution calling you
There’s a revolution calling
Revolution calling
Gotta make a change
Gotta push, gotta push it on through

There’s something going on
There’s a revolution, there’s a revolution, there’s a revolution

Why is it so important with the words? With everything that is going on in the country today do you think that the people’s voice is important? The reason is simple … if people with money can make all the choices and those of us who work hard don’t try to get our voices heard then we have a very big problem with the way that the country is going to be run.

Think about it for a moment, right now there are two major people running for the highest office in the land. The President of the United States. There are people who want Mr. Donald Trump to become the next president and there are those that want Mrs. Hillary Clinton to be the next president.

So let’s look at both people:

Mr. Donald Trump: Born in 1946. He is a businessman with real estate, TV shows under his belt, and he has been nominated as the Republican Party Candidate for the President of US.

He went to school at New York Military Academy, Wharton School of Finance, Fordham University according the Biography.com website.

He claims to be worth about $4.5 billion according to a Google search. (https://www.google.com/webhp?sourceid=chrome-instant&ion=1&espv=2&ie=UTF-8#q=donald+trump+net+worth )

He seems to jump back and forth on the major topics. Doing a Google Search this is what I found. There is too much to type out so I will put the link and you can decide for yourself. Mrs Hillary Clinton: Born in 1947. She has Government Official, U.S. First Lady, Women’s Rights Activist under her belt. She is the Democratic Party President Candidate for the US Presidency.

She went to school at Yale Child Study Center, Wellesley College, Yale Law School according to the Biography.com web site.

Her net worth according to the Google Search that I did is $32 Million. (https://www.google.com/webhp?sourceid=chrome-instant&ion=1&espv=2&ie=UTF-8#q=hillary+clinton+net+worth+ )

She has several issues on her plate and there again are too many to type out so I will provide the link to you for you to look at on your own. (https://www.google.com/webhp?sourceid=chrome-instant&ion=1&espv=2&ie=UTF-8#q=hillary+clinton+on+the+issues&eob=m.0d06m5/m.0g54wr7/full )

So when I say there is a problem with money running the country we need to see how it is being spent.

On the issue of taxes, Mr. Trump has said “When pressed on when exactly the public could expect to see his tax documents, Trump, getting defensive, said, “I don’t know…This is not, like, a normal tax return. This is a big tax return.”

However, Trump conceded, “I try and pay as little tax as possible, because I hate what they do with my tax money. I hate the way they spend our money.” (http://www.nbcnews.com/meet-the-press/trump-i-would-love-see-michael-bloomberg-run-n503286 )

Yet on the issue of taxes, Mrs. Clinton has said ““I want to make sure the wealthy pay their fair share, which they have not been doing,” she said, and then reiterated her support for the Buffet rule that would require millionaires to pay higher tax rates. (http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2015/12/19/hillary-shrugs-off-another-democratic-debate.html )

The final part of the question is why we need to have our voices heard and that is the way the taxes are written. The current tax code is 74,608 pages and when it was started as a Federal Income Tax back in 1913 it was 400 pages long. (http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/look-at-how-many-pages-are-in-the-federal-tax-code/article/2563032 ) {Care for some reading?}

This country was founded on freedom and equality and somewhere along the line we lost that when people with money started to be able to run things. So the words of the song make some sense. We need a revolution not with guns but with our political will and get some new blood in the Government.

If you want to make a change, use the power of the pen and get in touch with government officials and tell them that things need to be changed or the power of the vote can be used. To find your city, county state or federal representative all you have to do is Google the city, state, county or federal governments email address and they will have a contact page. You can even email the current President of the United States and let them know how you feel on things.
