King Tutankhamun

Welcome to the Wild World of Mythology

We all know who King Tutankhamun was? The ‘Boy King’ of Egypt but there is more to him than we know. Let’s take a magic carpet ride back to the time of the Pharaohs and take a look at what the world was like then.

First off let’s look at his family. His father was Pharaoh Amenhotep IV who changed his name to Akhenaten. The reason for this is that he had been excluded from the traditional worship of the Egyptian Gods. This was due to the fact that he looked different than the rest of the family.

When he became Pharaoh, he had not been the first choice, but his older brother had been but died. He had only known the warmth of the sun and believed that the sun disk or Aten was the one true god.
