Who is Hades?

Welcome to the Wild World of Mythology

Who is Hades? Why is he important? Anyone care to take a guess at this one?

Hades is the brother of Zeus and Poseidon. He is the God of the Underworld and later the word became the same as the word for the Underworld. He is the oldest of the three brothers and the first born of Cronus and Rhea.

Hades with his brothers Zeus and Poseidon were able to defeat the Titans and their father Cronus. Afterwards they agreed on the split that we all know of today. Zeus was in the heavens, Poseidon was in the water and Hades was in the Underworld.

The most common animal known to roam with Hades is Cerberus. history_clash_of_gods_the_cult_of_hades_sf_still_624x352 homm5_inferno_creature_cerberus
